As used by Michael on his travels!
Alwych notebooks have been used by British Antarctic expeditions over the years and have a keen following from those pursuing outdoor activities including gardeners, walkers, golfers, birders, hikers, mountaineers, potholers, explorers, archaeologists and more.
“Alwych notebooks have been in my hand on every journey since 1996. No other notebook is quite the right size and quite the right style. Try one for size!” – Michael Palin
The sharp lines of the ‘all weather’ cover coupled with the unique blue edging and section-sewn light cream pages creates an iconic notebook, that is both flexible and durable, constructed to keep your notes safe.
The crisp sharp lines, uniquely distinctive construction and robust all-weather cover have been a lasting signature of the Alwych book for around 100 years. The flexible all-weather cover is constructed to keep your notes safe, through providing strong durable protection, designed to withstand the elements.
The ruled pages are printed on ivory paper to increase opacity and reduce ‘shine through’, which makes the notebook easier to read, whilst reducing eye strain. The pages are traditionally sewn into 16-page sections, before being welded into the strong flexible all-weather cover, which provides lasting strength and durability.
