There are millions of people in the UK living with some form of neurological condition – any condition which affects the brain, spinal cord of nervous system. They each have the potential to wreak havoc on the lives of those they affect; something my family and I can relate to. My wife was diagnosed with a benign brain tumour more than 25 years ago, and it was a worrying and frightening time. That’s why the important work of The Brain Charity is a cause very close to my heart.
I was delighted to support them by presenting their BBC Lifeline Appeal, and hope the film encourages much-needed support for such a worthwhile cause. The Brain Charity’s Lifeline Appeal will be aired on Monday, December 20th at 1.45pm on BBC One, before repeating at 8.10am on December 21st on BBC Two.
